Literary Evening: Voices from the Beyond. An Evening of Turkish and Dutch Poetry May 3, 2010 (18:30)

A
unique poetry event in which Turkish poets Roni Margulies and Gonca
Özmen will collaborate with Dutch poets Anneke Claus and Jan Glas. The
evening will be moderated by literary theorist Sjoerd-Jeroen Moenandar
(Groningen University).
All
poets will read from their own poetry in their own languages (Turkish,
Dutch and Low Saxon) with English translations projected behind them.
There will be opportunities for the audience to interact with the
poets. At the end of the evening, there will be a short debate with all
three poets on the specific cultural roles of poetry in our societies.
The
evening is organized by The Netherlands Institute in Turkey (NIT), the
students organization of the Arts, Culture & Media department of
Groningen University and the Groningen city council.

şairler Roni Marguiles ve Gonca Özmenin, Hollandalı meslektaşları
Anneke Claus ve Jan Glas ile işbirliği içinde gerçekleştirdikleri bu
etkinliğin moderatörlüğünü edebiyat kuramcısı Sjoerd-Jeroen Moenandar
(Groningen Üniversitesi) üstlenmektedir. Tüm şairler şiirlerini
kendi dillerinde (Türkçe, Hollandaca ve Aşağı Saksonyaca) okurlarken
projeksiyon ile İngilizce çeviri sağlanacaktır. Seyircilerin
şairler ile fakir alış verişi yapma imkânı da bulabileceği gecenin
sonunda toplumlarımızda şiirin oynadığı kültürel roller üzerine bir
tartışma yapılacaktır.

(NIT), Gronongen Üniversitesi Sanat, Kültür ve Medya bölümü öğrenci
topluluğu ve Groningen şehir konseyi tarafından organize edilmektedir.
