On this day, you can find out about the activities and programs of the Netherlands Institute in Turkey. You can listen to presentations by staff and fellows, hear from former fellows about their experiences in Istanbul, and meet or reconnect with NIT staff and alumni.
The Netherlands Institute in Turkey fosters the academic study of Turkey through the ages. Governed by Leiden University and based in Istanbul, it serves all universities in the Netherlands. NIT initiates and conducts research and education programs in archaeology, heritage studies and Turkish studies. MA and PhD students can apply for fellowships to conduct research in Istanbul.
