Enno Maessen (2013)
I conducted research for the purpose of preparing my PhD proposal on cultural representations of Beyoğlu’s spaces from the 1950s onwards in the summer of 2013.
I thank my current job to the fellowship. Because the NIT granted me the fellowship I was able to perform preliminary research for my PhD proposal. I was accepted in the PhD program of the Faculty of the Humanities at the University of Amsterdam in August 2014.
I am working as a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam and my research project is on social identity formation in and cultural representations of Beyoğlu’s spaces from the 1950s onwards.
